Happy 1 Month Birthday!

We're proud to say that we've all survived the first month! And to celebrate, last night at Grandma and Pop-pop Shafer's house, Lilly rolled herself over! We were all very impressed. Appears Lilly can't wait to be mobile! Of course, we didn't have the video camera (we're still getting used to this parenting technology thing) Grandma Shafer and Uncle Kyle were there to witness!

Here are some pictures from last weekend on a big night out (well atleast for mom-- she had a martini for the first time in ~10 months--- crazy!), celebrating Aunt Janna being out of the hospital and on the mend... Lilly has been keeping me busy this week, so we had a delay :) You'll notice she's quite portable, but don't be fooled, she grunts the entire time, to be sure her presence is known!

So I'm gaining control of my facial muscles and though I haven't cracked a "real" smile... I seem to make mommy laugh alot with these. Hope you all have a very happy Friday and enjoy the weekend! I'm going to get my first professional pictures taken tomorrow, so we'll see if I can remember to stay awake for that.

1st Bath!!

I love the water! Well maybe love is a strong word... but atleast I don't hate it at this time. Mommy and Daddy didn't have much of a clue what they were doing, but I did appreciate the head massage while they were washing my hair. Don't you love my pink towel?? I've got a really cute robe too once I grow a bit...

Look at Me!

Look at how strong I am! A little wobbly still, but I can definitely get some air between my head and the ground! Mom and Dad are so proud... I can't wait to be mobile and tear up their house!

Happy Birthday Alyssa!

We made it to Aunt Alyssa's Birthday pool party Saturday! Lilly had a great time meeting some more of her new family friends. Daddy dressed her up in a cute purple number complete with a cute hairdo. Lilly did have an explosive poo though that was so explosive, mom needed a whole new outfit! We would have more pictures, but Mom forgot to charge the camera battery-- lesson learned!

Happy Friday Everyone!

Today Lilly survived her first week home alone with Mom! We had a field trip to Grandma Shafer's, dinner out for Aunt Alyssa's birthday, had a visit from our friend Elizabeth, and sang a "get well soon" song for Aunt Janna (We love you Jan!). We also had some explosive poop and projectile pee... but that's all forgiven. She was wide awake for Daddy when he came home, and has been just gazing away at him. What a happy Friday!

Bed Head

So today is another day of Lilly deciding to hibernate... that is after yesterday's full 8 hours of being "awake" (not letting me put her down for more than 10 minutes). She has quite the bad hair-do from all her sleeping though. She also does the cutest little stretches and grunts when I try to get her up to eat. I haven't been able to get it on viedo yet, but hopefully soon.

First day with-out Dad

So it was Little Lil's (and Mom's) first day with-out Dad at home. Though we missed him bunches, Lilly took it easy on me and spend most of the day sleeping... which I'm sure I'll pay for tonight :) She also found a new friend, the Zebra. She gazed at him for a solid 15 minutes... maybe she'll be a Vet!

Out and About

This weekend was Lilly's first big weekend of visiting the families! Friday was dinner at the Vinciguerra's and Saturday was Dinner at the Kanski house... and fun was had all around. Little Lil did have a minor melt down in the middle of all the excitment, but Daddy was there to calm her down and snuggle all day Sunday :) She's picking her head up and knows how to scream just enough so we come running and hold her just the way she likes it :)

At only 5 days old, Lilly made a surprise appearance at Cousin Amy's wedding on July 5th! Amy looked beautiful and Lilly was a perfect angel during the ceremony!

Coming Home - July 2, 2008

Lilly came home on Mom & Dad's 3rd wedding anniversary, and what could be better than the most precious baby in the whole world as an anniversary gift! Aunt Alyssa, Vicki & Allan helped welcome all of us home with balloons, flowers and this welcome home sign!
