Hey Little Sis!

She is your mirror, shining back at you with a world of possibilities. She is your witness, who sees you at your worst and best, and loves you anyway. She is your partner in crime, your midnight companion, someone who knows when you are smiling, even in the dark. She is your teacher, your defense attorney, your personal press agent, even your shrink. Some days, she's the reason you wish you were an only child. ~Barbara Alpert
So you can probably figure out... I'm getting a sister. Mom started crying when she was reading the sister quotes actually. The one above is one her sister put on a poster for her a few years ago. So everything is well with my sister at this point. She's just the right size, her little hands, feet, heart, face, etc were all visable and looking quite cute (not as cute as mine of course :)) And now Mom is trying to figure out how to use all my summer baby clothes in the dead of winter, and if we'll do purple, hot pink, or some type of green in my new room since I'll have to move out of the pale pink nursery for my sis. Dad, on the other hand, is trying to calculate the cost of Sis and I going to college with-in a year of each other and I hope is including some monster weddings for us :) He's such a lucky guy.... there are now 5 women in his house (Mom, me, baby, Jesse, and Bailey) Here's a few more sister quotes for those lucky enough to have a sister to love.
If you don't understand how a woman could both love her sister dearly and want to wring her neck at the same time, then you were probably an only child. ~Linda Sunshine
To the outside world we all grow old.But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were.We know each other's hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time.Clara Ortega
Sibling relationships - and 80 percent of Americans have at least one - outlast marriages, survive the death of parents, resurface after quarrels that would sink any friendship. They flourish in a thousand incarnations of closeness and distance, warmth, loyalty and distrust.- Erica E. Goode

Dad's diet problem

So I have a new favorite thing to do as of tonight. I saw Dad putting these things called "oreos" into milk and thought it looked pretty cool, and of course, I wanted to try. Apparently these things are really good and tasty, but I don't have much of a sweet tooth yet. So I much prefer to dunk them for dad. The problem with this, dad says, is that I want to dunk them far too fast for him to keep up with eating them... and I tend to let them drown in milk a bit :) Mom also caught dad eating only half of the oreo (these are double stuffed oreos by the way) that has filling on it and leaving the other half of the cookie :) Apparently, once I learn to like it, the white stuff is the good part :)

Happy Birthday Auntie...and some new tricks

Well, this past week was Auntie Alyssa's b-day, and we tried twice to have a pool party, and both days were either cold or rainy, or both. But we still managed to have some fun times hanging out and just chilling. Alyssa got lots of cool gifts for her new apartment-- which I cannot wait to go terrorize, I mean, hang out in :) And I have picked up a few tricks along the way. I like to play King of the Doggies with the swiffer and guard their food until I decide they have earned their food, and throw them a few pieces. And I like to go to the zoo and push my wagon all around. And lastly, I love to give my bear hugs (Mom was lucky enough to catch video of this one, so check it out :)).

Look out doggies!!!

Here's me and Mom at the zoo. I wore my "My Auntie Loves Me" shirt because we went on Aunt Alyssa's birthday, but then everyone kept telling mommy how cute her niece was :)

I spent nearly 15 minutes just pushing this around in circles-- how fun!

Here's Ellie and Me... we did not cooperate with picture taking very well during the day.

And her is my bear I like to love on. It just so happens to be a Steelers bear :)

Just a day in the life...

I like to start my day with a little tea party...

And then a fun day of chasing doggies and splashing in my mini pool or water table... no pictures of the water sports because Mom is too busy monitoring me in water, Bailey playing with me in the water, and Jesse trying to run away from us :) Below is a picture of my favorite game, where I grab the dog food and throw it around the room and laugh as the dogs run to eat it.

And then finish the day off with a ride down the street to say high to everyone in my wagon. I like to wave like a queen. Again, no pictures because walking the two dogs and a wagon, even when dad can join, leaves no hands for expensive camaras :)

And that's a typical day for me right now. I'm trying to enjoy it now before Mom gets really big, the weather turns cold, and I get that new sibling! What a change that all will be! you can vote on if you think the baby will be a boy or girl to the left of the post. Hopefully we'll find out at the end of the month!

It's My Party!

So I had one fun party on the 4th of July! My friends came and played and I got to see all my grandparents, aunts, and uncle-- so not too bad of a day! Aunt Alyssa made me a beautiful dress, and Mom and Vicki made me all of those cool cupcakes and my very own birthday cake... and dad cooked some yummy food for us all! It was definitely my special day and thank you to everyone for helping out and being a part of it! Also, thanks to all of those who I got special cards and gifts from-- I'll be sending you a special thank you soon! :)

I was very delicate with my cake...

But I did enjoy the frosting!!!

My favorite thing to do now is get up and down on my new chair and table set. I love to climb and feel tall, since I'm such a shorty!

My friends hanging out at the party....

I don't think I mentioned yet how much I LOVE to open presents that have tissue paper around them...

A full view of my special dress...

And the cake and cupcakes before we all tore into them!!
