Party Party

So it was my dad and I's birthdays last week... which ment we had to have a big fiesta to celebrate appropriately. Justin threw one big bash for me and it included all our friends... and all of Lilly's friends. :) A good time was had by all! Make sure you check out the Dance Party Video!

Dance party!

These two dads came to party!

Ring around the Rosies!

The house was used by all! I think all of Lil's friends will have to have one soon! :)

The good thing about a party with the kidos is there is always plenty of present helpers!

Then and Now...

Let's remember that these two kids came from the same Momma and Dadda... I can see a little similarity, but the eyes and skin tone throw me off soooooooo much. I can't believe how much they change and how fast they grow--- sigh--- I'm also now officially a mom that is upset to leave her babies. They are only so small for such a short time, and I just don't want to miss an instant! I felt like trying to decide what to do for my birthday (going out with or without them) was like trying to decide if I was going to go to Europe for a month without them. What a sucker I am for their little smiles!

Also, Carolyn went for her check-up today, and I'm proud to say she is now only in the 50th percentile for weight (down from 90th!) and 25th percentile for height. She's doing great and the doc said to start her on solids... so we'll see how she likes them tonight!
I would put labels on who is who... but I'm pretty sure you can figure it out :)

Easter Fun!

I think this Easter weekend could have been the best all time. I may be biased though, because there is something so awesome about seeing the holiday through your kid's eyes. I mean, how cool is it to find random eggs in your yard that have chocolates and jelly beans in them!!?? I wish I could remember when Jan and I were little-- I'm sure we had such a blast! It already has me very excited for next year when Carolyn is in the mix :) But before I get ahead of myself... let me show you the fun that was had this weekend! Most was spent with the Sebald fam, which made everything so much more fun because both Lilly and Mom and Dad had some friends to share it with!

First there was the night before Easter at the Sebald house. Lots of fun doing arts and crafts....
Carolyn watched on during all activities....

A little egg coloring... Both gals found it more fun to crush the eggs than color them, but oh well...

Egg Hunting... Lilly did not share the insides of her eggs with Carolyn or Mom!

Both were on the hunt for the elusive chocolate filled eggs....

Easter Day brought even more fun with more hunting... and lots of slide and swing time! Pap and Pop Pop gave the Dads a break and put some hours in pushing and helping the girls climb to the top!

Carolyn had some quality time with her Godmom-- this time she did not poop on her!

And by the end of Easter, sometimes you just pass out while playing!

Finally-- I had to put this picture in... Love you Grandma! :)

Homebuyers Credit

So Lilly wanted to make sure she got her piece of the Homebuyers Credit, and decided to purchase her first house. I mean, she'd be silly to pass up 8K of free money! She plans on splitting the house with Carolyn once she can help with the payments :) Currently, she runs into it and shuts the door anytime we mention the words "nap", "bedtime", or "diaper change". She LOVES it. Her happy face every time she runs to it makes up for the fact that it sits in our family room, declaring to all visitors that our house is run by a 1 (almost 2!) year old :) Thank you so much to our friends that passed it down from their girls-- it will certainly go to good use!

Boys are currently allowed to visit, although I expect this to change over time.

Care Bear can't wait to get in on the action ! :)

Poo and Pee in the Potty!!

Yes, that's right. Today was a day that will forever change the rest of out lives... well maybe not, since Carolyn is not gonna be out of the diapers anytime soon.... but atleast there might be one less poppy diaper suprise for me each day :)

Lilly came to get me and instantly went potty three seperate times today. While I was suprised at this, since I never really encourage the potty that much, I realized the part that is driving her is the fact that she gets to hold toilet paper, flush it, and then wash her hands. Going to the potty takes her a minute, but the whole clean-up process is about 30 minutes... most of which is washing the hands -- she likes to play in the water :) We'll see if this becomes a constant occurance, or if it's just a phase. It would surely be interesting to have a kid potty trained, but not talking, at their 2 year appointment. But I guess that would be proof that kids just do things when they're good and ready, no matter what we do-- getting us ready for those teenage years I guess :)

The Nose Has Stopped Running!!!

Well, we should have had pictures from library day last week, during the fingerpainting St. Patty's day party... and we should have pictures from playgroup's Easter Egg hunt..... but we don't have either because Miss Lillian was sicker than she's ever been before! I think it was all the craziness of the Baptism let her immune system down, and she picked up some nasty bug that had her all sorts of miserable. The good news is, that as of today, the nose has stopped running, I haven't heard the cough, and her temperature is normal!

The bad news is that she has given her lovely little cold to everyone that comes near! Atleast Carolyn has been able to stay healthy for now-- thank goodness for breastmilk!
